Over the river and through the woods...

Last weekend we took a big drive to northeastern Wyoming. We headed up there to go wild turkey hunting with Rusty's family. After nine hours in the car and very slick roads, I was happy to make it to camp. The next day was beautiful!! There was snow all over in the forest and the sun was shining. We bundled Bridger up in a snowsuit, loaded him into the backpack, and went off hiking for turkeys. It was magical walking through the fresh snow with the sun beating down on us. We heard the turkeys and were getting ready to stalk them when all of a sudden snow fell off one of the pine trees onto Bridger's head and neck and....Whaaaa!!! Bridger woke up screaming, so I didn't get my turkey. Oh, well, it was a fun anyway. Thanks Amy for sharing your trailer with me and Bridger. I know it was a tight squeeze, but we'll remember it forever!! I was happy to get home, but Bridger was even more excited. He couldn't wait to get out of his car seat and crawl around like a crazy man! Rusty seems to make life quite the adventure for me and Bridger...but I guess life should be full of adventures.

you are so brave to do that. I don't know if I could even handle my kids camping in the summer, much less the winter.
