Bookworm

Bridger's favorite toys are not trucks or blocks or stuffed animals, but books!! This kid LOVES books! He has been interested in books since he was about 7 months old. I've read books to him since he was just tiny, but I never really thought that it would affect him this young. Sometimes I'm in the kitchen cooking or cleaning and I will peek around the doorway and he will be sitting looking at his books. When I am changing his diapers he reaches for a book and then will just lay there looking at his book while I do my thing. It is so funny. Rusty just laughs because he looks like an old man reading the paper! Just in case you are interested in any great books for your kids I thought I would share with you a list of Bridger's favs.
  • "Do You Know New?" by Jean Marzollo
  • "Dinosaur Roar" by Paul & Henrietta Stickland
  • "Silly Sally" by Audrey Wood
  • "Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown
  • "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear" by Don & Audrey Wood

We love reading! You will never regret reading to him. I know it has helped my kids so much. They both have such a command on the English language and have since a young age. Plus, it is good, fun bonding time! Way to go mom!
