Breakfast...

is my FAVORITE meal of the day! The other morning I was sitting at the table with Bridger and Rusty eating French Toast, and I thought to myself "There is nothing better than breakfast." I love it all, you name it, I love it; french toast, cereal, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, waffles, cream of wheat, yogurt, crepes, milk toast (a Prescott thing), eggs, hash browns, bacon...my list could just keep going.
I must have gotten this love from my dad (and my mom who cooked for him every morning). Dad always had a hot breakfast. I can remember sitting at the table with him watching him pour precisely the right amount of sugar and milk into his cream of wheat, it was almost science. I can also picture him building his tower of pancakes and fried eggs with jam oozing down the sides.
So, thanks to my dad, I'm going to pass this love of breakfast down to my family. I miss you dad!

Breakfast is the most importnat meal of the day. Mom made me a hot breakfast every morning as well. The thought of having Milk Toast almost makes Krisitn gag but I sneak it for breakfast on a Saturday morning every now and then. But bisquits and gravy or a pancake tower with "dippy" eggs are awesome. Thanks for the memories.

Love Ya!

I'm just the opposite...prefer no breakfast or very little. BUT, when biscuits and gravy is on the menu I am all about breakfast.

So what is milk toast?

I'm so proud of you that you actually make all that stuff for breakfast! My son thinks pancakes are a weekend food, sad I know. I grew up with big breakfasts, but life hasn't allowed me to do the same for my son, getting him to school and me to work by 8:00 just doesn't allow time, so I'm a weekend breakfaster. My favorite cheesy hashbrowns, but biscuits and gravy are a close second. Milk toast, my Dad used to make for us when we were sick, but he ate it a lot. Not a tradition I kept!

Wow, you are ambitious. I hate breakfast and it kinda bugs me when Mike wants a big one. I'm a bad mom/wife, I know. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, breakfast foods for dinner though!

Anne,
I love breakfast too but I don't love it as much as your family. Grandma truly is one of a kind. I could talk with her for hours and hours. I truly wish I could have met your dad. Thanks for the post.

I was not a breakfast fan, but when I was pregnant nothing satisfied me in the morning than at waffle with butter and syrup. TJ would make me one every morning. What a guy!
