Life is a Highway

That seems to be our motto lately...we just can't get enough road trips I guess!! This weekend we hopped in the car and took a ride to Denver. We headed down with a master plan...we needed to buy a truck and go to the temple. We "Pricelined" a hotel south of Denver that was close to both the truck we wanted to look at and the temple (plus there was a huge mall and tons of other shopping!!). OK, I was a little skeptical about what what kind of hotel we would get for our quote of $35, but I was very happy! We ended up at the Hilton Garden Inn and it worked out great for us. I will definitely use Priceline again!!

Now back to my story...so we checked into our hotel and headed over to the guy's house to look at the truck. We had found this truck on Auto Trader and it looked almost too good to be true. The guy was a private seller and had no need for the truck anymore, his girls didn't like camping anymore so they didn't need their truck or trailer. Well, we had talked with him several times on the phone and we thought we needed to head down and see this thing in person. Boy were we happy!! This truck was everything we wanted plus more!!

It's a 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty. It had less than 40,000miles on it before we drove it home! He had every imaginable option...leather heated seats, 6 disc player, electric everything, back-up sensors, the side step, and tons more! The man took care of it like you wouldn't believe, so we definitely knew what we were getting! It's hard to believe that it is actually ours. It's the nicest thing we've ever owned...probably nicer than our townhouse!!

Rusty is now driving my old Saturn to work and I get to drive the truck when I need to be out and about! It is so fun to be high above the road and see everything. This will definitely be a great vehicle to travel in and now we won't have to ration everything we travel with...if we think we might need something we'll just throw 'er in!! Boy we sure feel lucky!!
