Lately

I've been spending my time doing other things than sitting in front of the computer. It's been nice...refreshing to really enjoy some other things in life than checking email, returning email, blogging, trying to find good deals, etc. So, here's what September has been for me.

Canning salsa and pickling jalapenos and cucumbers.
Thank you Jer and Janell for sharing your bountiful Colorado harvest.

Reading.

Making loaves and loaves and loaves of zucchini bread.
Most of which are now almost gone thanks to the big man, RK.

Grouse hunting with my boys.

Going to the Temple.

More canning...this time tomato juice.

Reading some more.
Great book, especially if you want to know more about WYO and Pinedale in particular.

Spending time with the YW in our ward.

Taking care of Bridger while he had the flu.

Recovering from the flu...yuck!

Now, I'm just cleaning up from this month adventures and catching up since the ol' bug finally left. Hope you all had a good month!

I should have come up and helped you can. I need to learn how to do it. I too spend too much time on the computer :)

I've missed your posts, but yes, I bet it was nice to get a break from the CPU. Plus, you did very productive things (minus being sick).

All of your canning looks great!

You are so awesome. I have always wanted to learn how to can. Your Mom was telling me all the cool stuff you were doing. I too have been missing your posts but I'm glad you got to have fun and sorry you guys had to be sick. Hope I can see you soon in Oct.

I'm so proud of you canning. I've done a little bit, but not as much as you have. I've never done tomato juice, but I do stewed tomatoes every year. Sorry you've been sick. I have been too, and it's the pits. I hope you're feeling better. I love the photo of you and the birds. You are my hero. I don't like to touch dead things! You're so brave:)

It all sounds very relaxing and fun(except for the flu part). I need Grandma to show me how to can. I have never done it, but it looks like a lot of fun. Josh would love me if we had tons of cans of salsa on hand. Bravo for you and the birds (well, the birds don't look too lucky)! Once again something that would earn me major points with Josh. Maybe someday.
